Originating from humble beginnings, the directors have nurtured the business with hands on involvement since its inception.
Our Story
In 1969, Gillman’s was founded in Gloucester by John and Erika Gillman.
Their journey began from humble beginnings shortly after, Robert Gillman (the eldest son), joined the family business, followed by his siblings.
In 2000, Gillman’s relocated their head office, showroom and warehousing to St. Oswald’s Road, Gloucester, Where it remains today. This move marked a significant expansion, allowing them to reach a broader customer audience.
Gillman’s prides itself on being a family-owned independent business, with the third generation, including Sarah, Richard and John, now actively involved.
In 2019, Gillman’s celebrated a remarkable milestone: their 50th anniversary in the commercial and domestic appliance industry. Since then, they have continued to innovate and solidify their reputation as industry leaders.
This includes the launch of Gillco, a line of essential value domestic refrigeration products, and Gillpro, featuring a commercial range of laundry machines as well as being distributors for other quality leading brands.
